BB 8350i and MotoRokr T505 Does anyone have a T505 paired with this phone ? If so, is there a way to get the voice dial function to work? I have tried everything and am about to return this thing. However, it seems most of the bluetooth devices that pair with the 8350i will NOT allow remote voice dial but otherwise work fine. Any help or input would be appreciated. View Original | how to prevent notifications for emails appearing in text messages folder? hey everyone. I looked in the FAQ but I couldn't find anything about this.
So, every time I receive an email on my blackberry a copy is also sent to me in the form of a text. I find this annoying and I only want to see the email in my email application. Is there a way to change this?
Thank you. View Original | Help please! Can't see attachments on 8350i. I'm new to the forum, so forgive me if this has already been beat to death.

Thanks! View Original | 8130 VS washing machine...please help. So last night my Pearl was submerged in the washing machine for about 5 min before I caught it.
I pulled it out of the machine...pulled it out of the holster, and immediately the screen was white. I pulled out the battery.
I took a blow dryer to it to help dry it out...then I let it sit in a sealed container of rice for about 12 hours.
Now everything is working on the phone. There is a little bit of foggy area on the screen but it has gotten better throughout the day.
Here is the problem. Part of the LED lights on the keyboard will not shut off for anything. Even when the phone goes to sleep they stay on. They are the lights that illuminate the #3, #6, and #9.
Has anyone encountered this after their phone has been submerged? Any chance it will go away on its own? View Original | New OS I have OS v4.2.2.170 (platform 2.5.0.30) How hard is to upgrade to v4.5.0.152.

BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.5.0.152 (Multilanguage)
Package Version: 4.5.0.152
Consisting of:
* Applications: 4.5.0.110
* Software Platform: 2.7.0.90
* File name: 8100M_PBr4.5.0_rel152_PL2.7.0.90_A4.5.0.110_AT&T.exe* File size: 92.29MB
Note: The Software Platform and Applications version numbers can be found under Options-About screen on the handheld.
Download here: https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...E4F82F9F00E7D4
This download is from At&t but will work on ANY carrier's 8100 model BB. (Not 8110, 8120 or 8130)
1. Download the above OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded. (Vista users be sure to right click on the .exe file and select "Run As Adminstrator.")
2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.
The process takes about 45 minutes to an hour depending on how much data you have to backup and restore during the process. Once it's done loading the new OS it will reboot (it may do this twice during the entire process.) You will see a white screen with an hourglass for up to 20 minutes at a time while the DM says "waiting for initialization."
If, for some reason, you end up with a white screen with small icons and the number 507, simply connect to the PC again and run Loader.exe again and it should load the OS to the device.

This might be a rudimentary problem, but for some reason our blackberry users have started experiencing problems with their blackberry handsets not connecting to their Enterprise Messenger accounts.
They get prompted for a username and password and select log on, but it just remains at a screen saying "connecting" with a rotating progress icon...
I have left it attempting to connect for an hour and it did not manage to connect nor did it error, I have checked the logs on the server and there are no errors, it's just as though the connection requests disappear into thin air.
Any help would be appreciated.
Kind Regards,

View Original | New to the Bold Hi. My Bold is about a month old. Every once in a while it gets into a funky state where something won't work quite right. The latest thing was WIFI. I haven't been able to connect lately at home so I tried to search for networks. I get the message back that the WIFI radio cannot be turned on. WTH. So I take the back off, remove the battery, wait 15 seconds, reinsert, and when it comes up, it works. Powering off doesn't accomplish anything.
Please tell me that this is normal and that a 5 second upgrade of the OS will correct it. Please?!:cry: View Original | Separate IT Policy for a group of users that are NOT exempt for OT Is there a way i can setup an additional policy that will turn off the data side of few user's blackberrys? View Original | Bold pre-purchase questions from iPhone user Hi there,
I'm a Mac guy, so when the iPhone 3G came out, I ditched my AT&T Curve and went for it. The Curve was a bit of a drag for three reasons:
- The dust under the screen got absolutely overwhelming
- Missing Sync was problematic with the phone and my Mac with iCal and Address Book
- It would crash a fair bit.
So then I got an iPhone 3G. Nice. Very elegant. Lots of fun apps. Syncs beautifully. Great iPod. Then the honeymoon was over, and I discovered:
- A virtual keyboard just doesn't compete
- Separate email inboxes for each account - a real hassle
- Expensive data plans
- And most of all: NO BLACKBERRY MESSENGER!
My wife and I used to ROCK that when we had Blackberries. SO slick. Now we talk less, because she hates the iPhone keyboard, and texting just doesn't have the same speed. That's the backstory. Here are my questions:
1) On AT&T, can I use Blackberry messenger internationally? Will I be billed extra by AT&T for the use of it, beyond my data plan? (I'm about to travel a bit).
2) Does it get dust under the screen like my Curve did?
3) Can someone compare the call quality to that of the iPhone, or the Curve for that matter?
Thanks so much in advance! View Original | opera mini I have an 8120 on 4.5.0.52 and just upraded my opera mini to the latest 4.2.
Unfortunately now Opera asks for permission to access "low-level network connection" every time try and use it. Apparently this has been introduced with the new 4.2 version.
Can someone point me to where i can get the old 4.1 version which doesn't have this problem.
Thanks

(I'm not bashing the BB....I've been a BB user since the 957....just thought it was funny that he had to use an iPhone to access the BB site) View Original |
